We support children, young people, families, and elderly people living in extreme poverty.
We provide new prospects through drinking water projects, toilets, kindergartens, relief supplies, and education.
Hope Instead of Poverty is a Christian-based aid organization primarily working in Serbia and Kosovo.
For many years, we have been committed to helping people living below the poverty line who have little chance of a better life. We work closely with local partners, communities, and volunteers to deliver aid where it is most urgently needed. Our guiding verse, from Isaiah 1:17, encourages us to do good, stand up for justice, and support the oppressed.
In several villages, we are providing access to clean drinking water. This reduces disease and noticeably improves the daily lives of families, children, and the elderly.
We collect clothes, shoes, bedding, kitchen utensils, bicycles, tools, toys, and much more. The aid supplies are carefully packed and transported directly to the affected regions, where they are distributed to families in need.
Through seeds, tools, fruit trees, and simple irrigation solutions, we support families in growing their own vegetables and fruit. This helps them become less dependent on external aid, step by step.
In some winters, temperatures plummet to minus 25 degrees Celsius. Without wood-burning stoves, firewood, and adequate insulation, children, the sick, and the elderly are especially at risk of death. Many families cannot pay their electricity bills, lose their service, and are left in the dark and cold.
Every donation, whether money, time, or goods, provides tangible help. A full stove, warm blankets, appropriate clothing, school supplies, or access to clean drinking water means not just a better life for those affected, but often a matter of survival.
